位于桑耶地北沟十里的一座小山冈上，大约创建于公元８元音世纪初叶，是藏王赤祖德赞和金城公主的宫殿之一，也是赤松德赞的诞生地．据＜西藏臣记＞记载，赤祖德赞逝世后，赤松德赞年幼，赤松德赞年幼，幼稚奸臣们挟小王子制定法令来毁来佛教，札玛止桑也在此时被毁．后来，人们又在札玛止桑遗址上修建了一座小庙，庙里不仅供着赤祖德赞，赤松德赞的塑像，还供奉着两根檀香树树根，看上去苍黑斑驳，年代极为久远．关于这神奇村根的传说是：赤松德赞出生时，脐血滴落于地上，遂长出红白两棵檀香树，是赤德祖赞和金城公主的精魂所化．从此信徒和香客对此圣迹世代膜拜．
THE RUINS OF TZAMAZGISAM PALACE:Built early in the 8thcentury B.C,on a small hill 5km north of samye Monastery it is one of the palace for king Tride Zrtsan and Princess Jinchen It is also the birthplace of king Trisong Detsen According to the records ,when Tride Zutsan died ,Trisong Detsan was still quite young,treacherous royal official forced the yound king to make laws to wipe out Buddhism.
The palace was also demolished at that time .Afterwards,people built a small temple on the site of sandalwood root .The legend of the magical roots is that when Trsong Desseu was bom ,two red adn white sandalwood tress grew up as soon as the navel blood dripped down on earth TAhese sandalwood tress are incarnations of the spirit and soul of Trisong Detsanand Princess Jin chen.
